Synopsis

In “The Shed,” Linton, a dedicated 16-year-old high school musician, faces the challenge of supporting his ailing father, Clef, whose health issues strain the family’s finances. Linton’s life takes an unexpected turn when he befriends Sphere, a homeless jazz musician, and discovers a nondescript shed that transforms into a mystical portal guided by the wisdom of jazz legends. Unbeknownst to Linton, Sphere is his estranged grandfather, and family secrets loom large. Linton’s mother, Clef’s wife, tragically died during childbirth, and the tragic accident that killed Clef mother further straining his relationship with Sphere. When Clef discovers Linton’s secret visits to the shed, he suffers a heart attack. As Linton’s journey unfolds, his music teacher, Ms. Montgomery, connects him with Jack Connart, a talent manager with a shadowy past who becomes Linton’s manager. Linton’s decision to tour with Mr. Connart strains his academic and artistic balance, culminating in a stellar jazz club performance, launching his career amidst family strife and unspoken blame.
